First Chapter Reviews

In the publishing world, first impressions matter. Most readers will put a book down if the opening chapters don’t hook them, so this service is designed to help you make those first pages count.

I'll read your first few chapters from both a reader's and an editor's perspective. I’ll leave in-line comments to share my immediate reactions as I read through your manuscript, and if I notice areas that could be improved, I’ll point those out and offer suggestions.

Along with the comments, you'll receive a 2 to 3 page report where I'll rave about the things I loved, speculate on where I think the story might go, and provide general feedback on topics such as:
